Danbury Man Charged With Sexual Assault Of Child

DANBURY, Conn. — A 25-year-old Danbury man was arrested on charges of second-degree sexual assault in connection with his sexual relationship with a minor child, Danbury police said.

Danbury Superior Court issued a warrant last Friday for the arrest of Hoskellyn Marte, of Nabby Road. Marte was charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury with illegal sexual contact and risk of injury. The charges indicate the victim was between the ages of 13 and 15.

Marte was held on $200,000 bond by the Danbury police after appearing in court on Monday.

The warrants allowed police to search his cellphone, residence and vehicle.

These warrants were issued as a result of an investigation by the Danbury Police Department’s Special Victims Unit that revealed that Marte was involved in a sexual relationship with a minor child.

Police released no further information on the case.
