Danbury Man Charged With Threatening Others With Stolen Gun

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man was arrested Sunday after he threatened people outside of an apartment building on Main Street with a stolen handgun, police told CTNews.com.

Officers found Vandrese Whitaker, 26, in a parking lot at 51 Main St. with the handgun and a small amount of cocaine in his vehicle, ctnews.com reported. 

Whitaker was charged with breach of peace, threatening, violation of probation, possession of a pistol without a permit, criminal possession of a firearm, theft of a firearm, sixth-degree larceny, reckless endangerment, interfering with police and possession of narcotics, ctnews.com said.
