Danbury Man Charged With Driving Under The Influence

DANBURY, Conn. - Danbury police found a local man slumped over the wheel of a car on the wrong side of the road Friday night on Linden Tree Lane and charged him with driving under the influence.

The Danbury Police Department asks that residents contact them if they fear for their safety or the safety of others.

According to the report, police found William Ruscoe, 43, in his car asleep behind the wheel. Police report immediately smelling alcohol and when officers woke Ruscoe up they noticed he had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his words. 

Ruscoe failed field sobriety tests, according to the report. 

Ruscoe was charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and is being held on a $2,500.
