Danbury Police Respond To Gunshots Fired Near Ridgefield

DANBURY, Conn. – Four Danbury residents were arrested after Danbury police assisted Ridgefield police with a motor vehicle stop of people suspected of shooting a gun at about 2 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Officers determined the shots were fired on Briar Ridge Road in Danbury and found four casings in the area, police said. Police also said they found a 9mm handgun in a snowbank near the car.

Nelson Rosa, 28, of Backus Avenue, was charged with having a weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of cocaine. Filipe Rosa, 23, of Division Street, was charged with having a weapon in a motor vehicle. Althenise Rosa, 22, of Backus Avenue, was charged with having a weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana under a half-ounce. Jeffrey Bueno, 26, of Moss Avenue, was charged with having a weapon in a motor vehicle.

Each was held on $25,000 bond, police said.
