Police told the News Times that the incident took place downtown at around 10:30 a.m. when the woman claimed that the man pulled the gun on her and threatened her. The unidentified man then got on a black Kawasaki motorcycle and sped off, according to the News Times.

The bike was stopped after it was seen traveling north on Main Street, but as the officer approached, the man got back on and left the scene along with a female passenger, according to the News Times. Police broke off a chase due to safety concerns, as it became clear that the man was not going to stop and they did not want to engage in a high speed pursuit that could have been dangerous, according to the News Times.

The motorcycle was last seen getting onto I-84, according to the News Times. Surrounding towns have been notified to be on the lookout for the suspect, according to the News Times. Police told the News Times that they know the man's identity, but are not releasing his name at this time.
