Danbury Teen Charged With Selling Drugs At Lake Kohanza

DANBURY, Conn. - An 18-year-old boy was charged with selling drugs near Lower Lake Kohanza on Monday after several complaints were called in to the Danbury Police Department, police said.

According to police, the department received numerous complaints about suspected drug activity at the intersection of Kohanza Street and Dogwood Drive. 

The police Special Investigations Division conducted surveillance of the area Monday afternoon, police said. During that time, a detective reported seeing activity consistent with a drug sale, police said. 

An investigation led to the arrest of Brian Guyton, of Danbury, police said.

Guyton was charged with possession of a controlled substance under a half-ounce, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.

He was held for arraignment on $5,000 bond.
