Danbury Woman Arrested On Multiple Drug-Dealing Charges

DANBURY, Conn. -- A 24-year-old Danbury woman was arrested Thursday on multiple charges of selling crack cocaine throughout the city, police said.

An investigation by members of the Danbury Police Department's Special Investigations Division found that Erica Musolino was selling illegal drugs in the city, police said. She was driving to meet drug users throughout the city for the purpose of selling illegal drugs, police said.

After obtaining search warrants for Musolino, officers approached her as she parked her car at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at a private business on Liberty Street, police said. 

The detectives, with the assistance of a K-9 officer driving a marked patrol vehicle, immediately arrested Musolino on an outstanding arrest warrant related to another investigation, police said.

After transporting her to the police department, a search found that she was concealing crack cocaine within her undergarments, police said.

After her arrest, officers executive the search warrant of her home at 7 Thomas St. and found a further stash of illegal drugs, police said. The drugs were found in a bedroom that Musolino shares with a young child, one of three children under the age of 16 living in the home, police said.

A substantial quantity of crack cocaine and U.S. currency was seized, police said.

She was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of less than a half-ounce of crack cocaine with intent to sell,  possession of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of school, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of school, possession of drug paraphernalia,  possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of school and risk of injury to a minor.

She was held on $100,000 bond.
