DANBURY, Conn. — Danbury police arrested an 18-year-old Danbury woman after officers saw her carrying brass knuckles on Kennedy Avenue on Monday and later found she was also carrying heroin, according to NewsTimes.
Police said the arrest occurred after patrol officers spotted Melissa Ruscoe walking down the street wearing the brass knuckles, which are considered a dangerous weapon, the News-Times said. After placing her under arrest, officers found the undisclosed amount of heroin, said NewsTimes.
She was charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics near a school.
