Driver Thrown From Car, Killed In Rollover Crash On I-95 In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 22-year-old man was killed after he was thrown from his car in an overnight rollover crash on northbound I-95 in Westport that closed the highway for hours, NBC Connecticut reported.  

Alan J. Alexis was driving in the rightmost lane when he swerved to avoid a car in front of him at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, hitting the back left side of the vehicle, State Police told NBC Connecticut. After he veered right, the car rolled over twice and landed in the roadway, NBC Connecticut said. He was 

Alexis wasn't wearing a seat belt, NBC said. The crash occurred between Exits 16 and 18, according to WTNH

No charges have been filed, but the crash remains under investigation, state police told NBC.
