DANBURY, Conn. — A driver who reportedly had the sun in his eyes slammed into the flatbed of a parked tractor-trailer on I-84 in Danbury on Friday morning, firefighters said.

At 7:30 a.m. Friday, the Danbury Fire Department was dispatched to I-84 eastbound near the Exit 2 on ramp for a motor vehicle accident.

Upon arrival, fire units found the four-door sedan wedged under the tractor-trailer flatbed, which was parked on the right side of the ramp, firefighters said.

The driver of the sedan was transported to Danbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries by a Ridgefield Fire Department Ambulance.

The driver of the sedan reportedly had restricted vision due to sun glare, firefighters said.

Fire units cleared the scene at 8:45 a.m.
