Wilson Villavicencio, 19, of Danbury, has been charged with evading responsibility and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, police said. He hit an unoccupied parked car on Nov. 22, police said.

Two witnesses helped officers during the investigation, police said. One witness said they were sitting in their vehicle next to the car that was hit, heard a loud sound, and looked up to see the car that Villavicencio hit had been moved a couple of feet, according to police.

A second witness recorded the license plate number of the suspect’s vehicle, which lead police to a tan Mazda, owned by a construction company.

Villavicencio was arrested Jan. 26 and given a court date of Feb. 3, which police said he did not show up to. Police arrested him again Monday afternoon and released him on a promise to appear in court on Feb. 19.
