Fire Heavily Damages Danbury Home

DANBURY, Conn. -- Two adults and three children escaped injury when their home on Kenosia Avenue in Danbury was heavily damaged by fire on Thursday, April 14, according to the Connecticut Post.

The fire started near the fireplace of the single-family home, Assistant Fire Chief Mark Omasta told the Connecticut Post. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire in the one-story home, but the structure still received extensive damage, said the Connecticut Post.

The five residents were left homeless. The cause of the fire is under investigation, said the Connecticut Post.
