Four Extricated From Car After Danbury Accident

DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury emergency personnel responded to a serious car accident on Clapboard Ridge Road on Monday, where the driver and three passengers had to be pulled from the vehicle, police said.

Police said the operator was driving a 2005 Chevy Silverado on Clapboard Ridge Road and lost control of the vehicle north of Old Hayrake Road. The vehicle then went off the road and struck a Connecticut Light and Power utility pole, causing serious damage to both the vehicle and the pole, police said.

Members of the Danbury Fire Department and Danbury Hospital emergency responders helped remove the victims from the vehicle.

No information was available on injuries.

The cause of the accident is under investigation and Danbury Police are asking any witnesses to call Sgt. Rory DeRocco at 203-797-2157.
