On Friday, Dec. 29 a dark colored van was seen driving into the parking lot of the YMCA at around 5:30 p.m., police said. A man described as a black male with a goatee, wearing a knit hat and jeans, was seen getting out of the van and looking inside parked cars with a flashlight, police said.
The man was seen ducking behind parked cars as other motorists passed by, according to police. He then used a window punch to break a car window, and stole a purse that was sitting on the floor, police said.
