Man, Woman Busted In Danbury Prostitution Sweep

DANBURY, Conn. –  A Dover Plains, N.Y., woman with a history of prostitution arrests in Danbury was arrested again Wednesday night, police said.

Debbie Waldron, 51, of 34-36 Route 22 in Dover Plains, was charged with misdemeanor prostitution just before 9 p.m. after police said officers saw her performing a sex act on a “john” in the parking of the abandoned Super Food Mart at 35 Main St. in Danbury.

Her customer, Jose Flores, 29, of 51 Wooster St., Bethel, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, also a misdemeanor.

According to Police Capt. Tom Wendel, officers were conducting a prostitution surveillance detail on Montgomery, New, Spring and Beaver streets Wednesday night when they saw Waldron flag down Flores and get into his car.

The two were spotted in the former Super Food Mart parking lot a short time later and arrested. Police said Flores admitted paying Waldron $20.

Flores was released on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court next month, and Waldron was held in lieu of a $1,000 bond. Her status was not available.
