Police told the Stamford Advocate that just before Cee Lo Green began performing at 5 p.m. Thursday, an officer saw 52-year-old Lamont Holloway of Manhattan shouting obscenities as he walked out of the venue. Holloway then got up on a pillar and threw a knapsack into some bushes near the Stamford Police Department mobile command center, the Stamford Advocate reported.
Three officers approached Holloway to ask him about the knapsack, but he cursed and tried to walk past them, according to the Stamford Advocate. He swatted an officer's hand away from him and kneed an officer in the face, the Stamford Advocate reported.
One officer suffered a should injury and another suffered a knee injury in the encounter before two more officers arrived and helped take Holloway into custody, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Holloway was charged with three counts of assault on a police officer, breach of peace and resisting arrest, according to the Stamford Advocate. He was held on A $25,000 bond, according to the Stamford Advocate.
