Pedestrian Hit By Car In Danbury Sent To Hospital

DANBURY, Conn. -- A student was hit by an SUV at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Westville Avenue on Monday morning, according to Danbury police.

Police received a call at 6:44 a.m. reporting the accident. A 2006 Honda CRV driven by a 59-year-old Danbury resident was traveling east on Lake Avenue when it hit the pedestrian, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Danbury Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The victim was identified as a 15-year-old male student by the News-Times.

The accident is currently under investigation by the Traffic Unit.
