Police: Danbury Resident Pepper Sprays Men Breaking Into His Home

DANBURY, Conn. -- Two men forced their way into a Danbury home and scuffled with the resident, who sprayed his attackers with pepper spray, in what police are calling an isolated incident Thursday morning, according to a department report. 

Officers responded to a home on Stevens Street about 9:45 a.m. Thursday, on a report of "a dark skin male" forcing his way into the residence, police said. 

Upon arrival, officers found the 27-year-old male victim, who said said "a dark skin male and a light skin male were banging on the door," police said. 

They forced their way into the home and the three engaged in a scuffle, the victim told police.

The victim ended up spraying the suspects with pepper spray and the suspects fled, police said.

The suspects left in a gray vehicle and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

The victim declined medical treatment.

Police said the investigation was ongoing. Officers have determined that that the suspects are known to the victim and that this is an isolated incident, police said.
