Police: Driver Sped Through Danbury Construction Zone, Crashed

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Danbury man and his passengers were charged in an car crash Friday when the car he was driving allegedly sped through a construction area on Lake Avenue, said WLAD-AM Radio.

Police ultimately charged Henry Scozzafava, 18, who reportedly sped through the construction area, which was "clearly marked," said the WLAD-AM report.

A police officer said he tried to slow down and stop the car, but it didn't; it then swerved and sped away, according to WLAD-AM Radio.

The car then hit another vehicle on Segar Street, while proceeding, said the WLAD-AM report.
