Red Cross Aids 11 People After Danbury House Fire

DANBURY, Conn. -- Eleven people in three families were displaced by a fire Sunday on Golden Hill Avenue in Danbury, according to the Red Cross.

Eight adults and three children received emergency housing and food assistance from the Red Cross. Volunteers Ed Briggs, Jim King, Betsy Kraushaar and MJ deBourbon assisted the families and also provided the families with personal items, according to a release from the Red Cross. 

The fire is believed to have been electrical and "caused minor damage" to the home, according to the News- Times.
