The Red Cross provided help with emergency housing, food and clothing, as well as infant supplies. Responders included Amy Thomas, John Lennon, Claudia Berry, Art Hopkins, Natalie Dos Santos and Edward Briggs.
The nine condominiums were damaged in a three-alarm fire last Thursday evening. Two residents saw the lightning hit the building at 51 Candlelight Drive as severe thunderstorms rolled through the area, firefighters said.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
The Red Cross is also providing residents with comfort kits containing personal care items such as toothbrushes, deodorant, shaving supplies and other items a resident might not have been able to gather in the rush to escape the fire.
Also provided was an envelope of information helpful to families recovering from a fire, including tips on cleanup; notification of important contacts; dealing with damaged items and more.
