Harry Metz, 54, turned himself in to Fairfield police Aug. 8 and was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor in the July 2 incident in Fairfield, police said.
Police said tips from the public led to the arrest of Metz, who was accused of inappropriately touching the teen while she was volunteering at the event at Jennings Beach. He was photographed at the event in what was described as photobombing her selfie.
Police said one incident occurred a few years ago at the Ridgefield Playhouse, where no charges were filed after he touched a ticket-taker, the Post said. Another occurred minutes before the Jennings Beach incident at a nearby party, where he groped a woman, according to the Connecticut Post.
Metz, a life and long-term care adviser, was arraigned Wednesday morning in Superior Court in Bridgeport and did not enter a plea, the Post said.
