Report: Danbury Police Officer Fired After Threatening Immigrant

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury police officer Chris Belair was fired Friday by Mayor Mark Boughton for directing a profanity-filled tirade at an undocumented immigrant driver and threatening to beat him up in a traffic stop in March, according to a report in the News-Times.

Boughton held a daylong review of Belair's behavior, which was caught on an audiotape by a fellow officer.
