State Police Investigate Tractor-Trailer Rollover On I-84 In Danbury

DANBURY, Conn. — The driver was not hurt and state police were investigating after a tractor-trailer slammed into a Jersey barrier in the center median of I-84 in Danbury and rolled over, according to state police.

The crash on Tuesday night closed lanes in both directions of I-84 near Exit 3, according to the Connecticut State Police. 

The left lane was closed on the eastbound side, and the left and center lanes were closed on the westbound side, state police said. Traffic was backed up for 2 miles in each direction for a few hours after the 8:30 p.m. accident, according to the state Department of Transportation. 

Edward Bryan, of West Virginia, was driving the tractor-trailer for PCC Refrigerated Express Inc., State Police said. Other vehicles were damaged in the crash, police said

State Police asked anyone who has information about the crash to call Troop A at 203-267-2200.
