Torrington Woman Who Threatened Danbury High Also Threatened Columbine

DANBURY, Conn. -- A Torrington teenage girl who is charged with planning to shoot up Danbury High School is now also suspected of calling in threats to Columbine High School in Colorado, newstimes.com reported. 

The 18-year-old woman accused of planning a Columbine-style shooting at Danbury High School also allegedly made threats to the school in Colorado as well.

Natalie Carpenter, 18, was arrested in March and pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit assault charges, according to newstimes.com. 

Carpenter allegedly had diary entries that outlined how she and 19-year-old Peter Thulin would exact revenge by shooting students at Danbury High before committing suicide.

The plan was discovered by authorities when patients from Hope House, a psychiatric facility Carpenter attended, told employees of her plan.

Carpenter is currently being held at Niantic Correctional Institute.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department in Colorado has not pressed charges against Carpenter at this time, according to newstimes.com.
