Two Arrested In Danbury Drug Bust In Main Street Parking Lot

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury authorities arrested two suspects wanted for drug tafficking in the parking lot of Danbury Commons on Wednesday.

An investigation that lasted several weeks led to search and seizure warrants being issued for Warner Nunez, 31, who was observed engaging in activity consistent with drug trafficking, officials said. 

Nunez and Edwin Castillo, 45, were seen in a vehicle driven by an adult female, within the parking lot of the Danbury Commons at approximately 2:36 p.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities executed the warrants and found both Nunez and Castillo in possession of cocaine. 

Nunez was charged with possession of a narcotic substance, possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell, possession of a narcotic substance witin 1,500 feet of a school and possession of a narcotic substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school. Nunez was held on $25,00 bond. 

Castillo was charged with possession of a narcotic substance and possession of a narcotic substance within 1,500 feet of a school. Bond was set at $5,000 for Castillo.
