DANBURY, Conn. – Danbury police were called Saturday to Lord & Taylor in the Danbury Fair Mall to investigate an alleged theft of almost $2,000 in merchandise.
Police arrived at the store at around 6:30 p.m. where the store's security detained two suspects, according to the report.
Two Rahway, N.J. residents, ages 34 and 39, were charged with fourth-degree larceny and fourth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny, both misdemeanors. Police said the 34-year-old suspect stole handbags worth $1,044 and the 39-year-old suspect stole merchandise worth $929.
Both were held on $5,000 bonds and their court date has not yet been set.
