Members of the Danbury Police Department’s Special Investigations Division executed a court-authorized search-and-seizure warrant for the residence of 50 Boulevard Drive at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Inside the home, officers found and seized a substantial amount of money; marijuana, "both packaged for sale and being cultivated within the residence;" as well as MDMA, also known as “molly,” a synthetic, psychoactive drug, police said.
Two residents of the home were arrested.
William Tolentino, 28, of 50 Boulevard Drive, was charged with possession of hallucinogen / marijuana; sale of controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; sale of controlled substance; possession of controlled substance; conspiracy to sell controlled substance. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Aug. 19.
Shakita Crews, 28, of the same address, faces the same charges. He was also released on a written promise to appear in court Aug. 19.
The warrant was issued as a result of an investigation that began months earlier in response to residents' complaints related to drug sales from the home, police said. Surveillance of the home and its occupants found activity consistent with drug trafficking, police said.
A judge from the Danbury Superior Court found probable cause to believe the residence was being used to sell illegal drugs and authorized the search.
