Two Danbury Residents Busted On Drug Charges

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury Police arrested a city man and woman on multiple drug charges stemming from the possession of heroin and crack cocaine on Thursday, police said.

Jason Danzy, 36, of Unit 221J at 7 Padanaram Road, had been under investigation for weeks after residents complained that he was selling drugs in the area, police said. 

Officers armed with search-and-seizure warrants seized Danzy and his vehicle after he was found driving in the parking lot for his residence at about 6:30 p.m., police said. A cursory search of Danzy found he was in possession of heroin and crack cocaine, both of which were packaged for sale, police said. Upon his arrest, officers discovered that Danzy was a repeat drug offender who had been arrested recently on similar charges, police said. 

Danzy was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics within 1,500 feet of a school, two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held on $200,000 bond. 

Wanda Taylor, 50, who lived at the same address as Danzy, was also arrested Thursday and charged with possession of crack cocaine, police said. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
