Nina Sherwood and Chris Yerinides, who are both delegates from the 4th Congressional District, plan to offer daily dispatches to Daily Voice readers.

Sherwood actively campaigned for Sanders and phone-banked for the campaign before the Iowa caucus.

And, following the grassroots spirit of the Sanders campaign, Yerinides crowdsourced some of the expenses of his trip to the DNC through GoFundMe.

The convention kicks off Monday and runs through Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Sanders, the U.S. Senator for Vermont who lost the Democratic primary and endorsed Hillary Clinton, is expected to offer an opening night address to encourage unity and “make it clear that Hillary Clinton is by far superior to Donald Trump on every major issue from economics and healthcare to education and the environment,” Sanders' spokesman Michael Briggs told The Guardian.

Also on the speaker list for Monday night is Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy.

The convention begins one day after Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced her resignation following leaked e-mails that suggested the party favored Clinton over Sanders in the lead up to the Democratic primary.
