The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the special election.

Running in the election for the seat are Stephen Harding, a Republican member of the Brookfield Board of Education, and Democrat Howard Lasser, a former member of the Brookfield Board of Education.

Former state Rep. David Scribner has endorsed Harding to replace him.
