U.S. Rep. Jim Himes, D-4th District, and Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, a Republican, are cited in a recent Top 15 list from Business Insider on "Politicians Who Are Killing It On Twitter."

After the list came out, Boughton tweeted, "#BigPoppa makes the "A" list for politicians who tweet." with the link to story and "#thatswhatimtalkingabout."

The website cited the recent bear incident in Danbury during which Boughton live-tweeted the whole incident and included a picture of himself with the tranquilized and captured animal.

Boughton is also beloved by the students at Danbury High, who often beg the mayor for snow days. On the night of graduation, Boughton tweeted his view of the commencement exercises.

When it comes to Himes, Business Insider said his slot in the list came from being approachable and funny while still being informative.

Himes tweeted twice about being listed, first bragging that his buddy U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., failed to make the cut, but then said there are "probably not many other opportunities to be on same list with Boris Johnson and Chris Christie."

Murphy is another of Fairfield County's major tweeters, and generally focuses on what's going on in Washington, D.C.

Although, he tweeted, "I agree. @jahimes is killing twitter. MT @jahimes Business Insider names me 1 of 15 politicians "killing it" on twitter." After Himes was named on the list.

Recently, Murphy discovered twitters new video function, Vine. "My first vine video: June 2. My first pocket vine (which I did not know was physically possible): July 10. #pocketvine."

He also used Twitter as a call to action, posting on Tuesday: "CT students: Join me and @SenateDems on Twitter at 3pm to discuss how to keep student loan interest rates low #DontDoubleMyRate."

Another local politician, state Sen. Bob Duff, D- Norwalk, frequently tweets about traffic updates on I-95 in Southern Fairfield County.
