The Connecticut Post attributed the information to an unnamed source, while a spokesman for McMahon, who ran unsuccessfully for Connecticut's Senate seat in 2010 and 2012, didn't comment. The WWE executive gave $6 million earlier this year to a pro-Trump political action committee, the Connecticut Post said.

Shortly after the election, McMahon issued a statement to quash rumors that she was considering an ambassador post. McMahon and her husband, Vince, who created the WWE together, have worked with Trump on WestleMania events, the Connecticut Post said.
