DUI Driver Flips His Car At Lancaster Intersection: Police

A 56-year-old man is facing charges for allegedly driving drunk and flipping his car at a Lancaster County intersection on Christmas Day, authorities said.

Officers were called around 2:20 a.m. Saturday to the 600 block of West Main Street in New Holland Borough on a report of a one-car crash, local police said.

Emilio Hernandez-Cisneros was driving eastbound when he hit a fire hydrant, crossed over to the opposing lane, hit a curb, and overturned, according to investigators.

Although he escaped with no injuries, officers stated that "he displayed multiple signs of intoxication."

He was unable to complete field sobriety tests, and subsequent tests revealed a BAC of.146 percent, police said.

Hernandez-Cisneros was charged with two counts of DUI and a summary traffic offense.

There was no public court docket listed for Hernandez-Cisneros as of Monday morning.
