Birds of Prey will be held at noon Monday at the Midtown campus quadrangle. Representatives from A Place Called Hope will show an eagle, a hawk and an owl, and discuss each bird.
A wolf conservation demonstration will be held at noon Tuesday in Alumni Hall. An arctic wolf named Atka, along with a member of the Wolf Conservation Center, will be part of the demonstration and discussion.
Live reptiles from Reptiles on the Move, along with their handlers, will be at the Student Center Theater at noon Wednesday.
All events are free and open to the public.
“It’s important for the community to attend the events during Animal Week because we can become educated about endangered species, rescued animals and even some reptiles that are a bit too dangerous to keep as housepets,” Lauren Davidoski, president of WCSU Roots & Shoots, said in a press release.
The Western Connecticut State University Midtown campus is at 181 White St.
