Danbury High Teen Hosts Mini-Golf Tourney To Benefit Dad's Scholarship Fund

DANBURY, Conn. -- Jessica Robbins, a sophomore at Danbury High School, has organized a mini-golf tournament in honor of her father, Ken Robbins, an assistant principal at Rogers Park Middle School who died in March.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Golf Quest on Sand Pint Road in Brookfield.

The tournament fee is $10 per player and is due at check in.

The event will benefit the Danbury High School’s girls soccer and baseball programs.

The team with the lowest score and best uniforms win prizes. There will be raffles and other prizes, too.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to contribute, make check payable to Ken Robbins Memorial Scholarship Fund and mail to the Danbury High School Athletic Department, 43 Clapboard Ridge Road, Danbury, CT 06811.

Kenneth Robbins of Danbury died March 16 at the age of 55. He graduated from Danbury High School and received a bachelor's degree in education from Western Connecticut State University. He continued his education earning a master's and sixth-year degree in educational leadership. He was working on his doctoral degree in education from Western Connecticut State University.
