Danbury Middle School Students Travel To Disney For History Lessons

DANBURY, Conn. – A group of students from Danbury’s Broadview Middle School recently participated in the Disney Youth Education Series in Florida.

The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla. served as a classroom for students from Danbury and other communities May 6-8.

The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando served as a classroom for students from Danbury and other communities May 6-8.

The Danbury students, who took the more than 2,200-mile round trip with their chaperones, participated in “Discovering the American Spirit” at the Magic Kingdom Park and “Exploring Disney Animation History” at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, according to a press release.

Broadview Middle School students, along with other participants, gained an insider’s look at how Walt Disney World has re-created American history.

They also learned how to draw a Disney character and about the history and production behind some of the most popular Disney characters.
