Stephan Perrault, of Danbury, “despite an injury, continued to participate in all aspects of community life to the best of his ability this fall,” said Upper School Dean of Students Hannah Reed in a press release.

Perrault was unable to play basketball but supported his team by keeping statistics.

“Rather than a fear of surgery or a fear of missing out on playing basketball, this young man turned a negative event into an opportunity, a curiosity to learn something new, and to get to know himself in a different way,” Reed said.

“This clearly demonstrates a strong sense of resilience and courage.”

“He is an empathetic friend, a kind classmate, a curious intellectual, and a leader in our Wooster community.”
