Danbury Students Earn Honors At Various Colleges

DANBURY, Conn. -- Several students from Danbury have earned honors at various colleges.

Meghan Pane, a 2013 a graduate of Danbury High School, is a recipient of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the fall 2013 term at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y. To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve higher than a 3.30 average while enrolled in at least four courses.

Ryan Schoonejongen and Greih Wilson-McClain, both of Danbury, were named to Honors Lists at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Metropolitan Campus in Teaneck, N.J. To qualify for the Honors List, a student must carry a 3.5 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0 and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 letter-graded hours.

Rachael DiPietro of Danbury, has received Faculty Honors for the 2013 fall semester at Trinity College in Hartford. To earn Faculty Honors, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of at least a 3.667 with no individual letter grade below B-minus.

Jasmine Singleton, a senior middle level science/math major, and Bethany Blain, a senior Communication Studies, were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2013 semester at Grove City College in Grove City, Pa. Both are 2010 graduates of Danbury High School. 

Anne Clymer, a resident of Danbury, has been named to the Fall 2013 Champlain College Dean's List for academic achievements and achieving a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Clymer is majoring in Professional Writing at Champlain College in Burlington, Vt.

Michael Carlucci, a resident of Danbury, has been named to the Fall 2013 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Carlucci is an engineering major. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List.

Three students from Danbury were named to the Dean's List for Fall 2013 semester at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y.: Kyle Jennings, a fourth-year student in the computer science program in RIT's B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences; and James Nguyen, a fourth-year student in the 3-D digital graphics program in RIT's College of Imaging Arts and Sciences. Undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their quarterly GPA is greater than or equal to 3.4.
