Danbury is expected to receive 3 to 7 inches of snow on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts 2 to 4 additional inches possible at night.
The decision gives students at Abbott Tech a longer Thanksgiving break, as they are already getting Thursday and Friday off.
Danbury Public Schools had already scheduled Wednesday as a day off from school as part of the Thanksgiving holiday.
