A forum called Meet the Candidates: Views on Education will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, at Broadview Middle School, 72 Hospital Ave.

The event is sponsored by the Parents of Danbury’s City Wide PTO, and the teachers of the National Education Association-Danbury Public Schools.

"Come and see how powerful a combination of teachers and parents can be," said a statement from the City Wide PTO.

A total of 10 of the 12 legislative candidates representing Danbury are schedule to attend: Dan Carter, Candace Fay, David Scribner, Dan Smolnik, Richard Smith, David Arconti, Bob Godfrey, Janice Giegler, Henry Hall and Michael McLachlan.

There will be two questions from the organizers that all the candidates will have a turn to answer.

Cards will be passed out for attendees to ask specific questions of the candidates. The cards will be collected and given to the candidates to answer personally.

The question-and-answer session is scheduled to last 90 minutes. After that, a meet and greet will be held in the Broadview cafeteria with coffee and refreshments sponsored by students from the Danbury High School Culinary program.

Childcare will be available at the event.
