Danbury's Hayestown Avenue Elementary Celebrates Opening Of New Playground

DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton and others were on hand Friday to officially open a new playground at Hayestown Avenue Elementary School, according to the city's school district.

Boughton, who cut the ceremonial ribbon on the school's new addition, was joined by members of the Hayestown Parent-Teacher Organization and various local business owners, who all worked with the school district to make the playground a reality, according to Danbury officials.

It didn't take long before children were enjoying the play structure, its slides and swings, according to the school district.
