DANBURY, Conn. -- Wooster School in Danbury recently was certified as a 2 Star Certified Green Restaurant by the Green Restaurant Association, a national nonprofit organization helping restaurants to become more environmentally sustainable.

Receiving 140.84 GreenPoints on the association's certification scale and having implemented 34 environmental steps, Wooster School has gone 40.84 percent above the minimum requirements necessary for certification.

"The GRA certification process has given us a chance to measure our continuous efforts towards sustainability," said Chef Manager Rick Demers. "This award reflects the school’s commitment to the greening of our food service operation for both our students and community."
