Ali Bratter, a seventh-grade student at Wooster and a Sandy Hook resident, is often praised for being organized, Sarah Rand, middle school dean of students, said in a press release.

“From the moment this young lady pirouetted into middle school, she has graced us with her gentle demeanor and kind heart,” Rand said. "Combined with the compassion and thoughtfulness of this ballerina is also perseverance, drive, and boundless courage.”

Bratter has helped Wooster athletic director David J. MacNutt in the lower school physical education classes that he teaches.

“(Ali) was patient, caring, encouraging, and helped them work through all of the emotions, victories, and lessons that come with being five or six years old and learning about sportsmanship, teamwork, and cooperation,” Rand said. “Her presence was invaluable and she made a profound impact on their learning and growth.”
