DANBURY, Conn. -- Eversource Energy is providing five $2,000 scholarships to new full-time students of Naugatuck Valley Community College -- which has locations in Danbury and Waterbury -- who are majoring in Electronic Engineering Technology.
To be eligible, students must be entering the College in the Fall 2016 semester and qualify to take College Alegbra (MAT172) and English Composition (ENG101) based on placement testing or SAT/ACT scores.
Each scholarship will be awarded over two years ($500 per semester for four semesters) providing that students meet educational requirements in all required courses.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until all remaining scholarships have been awarded.
Naugatuck Valley Community College serves Beacon Falls, Bethel, Bethlehem, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Cheshire, Danbury, Middlebury, Naugatuck, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Oxford, Prospect, Roxbury, Sherman, Southbury, Thomaston, Washington, Waterbury, Watertown and Woodbury.
The College is located at 183 Main St. in Danbury and on a 110-acre campus at 750 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. The College is one of 17 institutions governed by the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education.
