Malloy's Sandy Hook Advisory Panel Calls For Homeschooling Oversight

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- A 16-person commission of educators assembled by Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy after the Sandy Hook tragedy is calling for more government oversight on homeschooling, according to eagnews.org.

The panel specifically recommended homeschooled kids "with problems" be required to submit action plans and progress reports to their respective home districts, eagnews.org reported. 

The motive behind targeting homeschooling came from the Sandy Hook massacre, which was orchestrated by Adam Lanza, who was pulled from public schools in 10th grade by his mother, eagnews.org said.
