St. Gregory Students In Danbury Honored For Artwork

DANBURY, Conn. -- State Rep. David Scribner (R-107th District) visited St. Gregory the Great School in Danbury to recognize the winners of an art contest.

Scribner visited the school last month to meet with the winners of the "What Danbury Means To Me" art contest he sponsored, according to a press release. Scribner met Ann Beckwith's art class and presented the four winners of the contest with certificates. 

The winners of the contest included Theodore Cote (Danbury Railway Museum), Emily Halas (Candlewood Lake), Elizabeth Flaherty (Danbury Fair Mall) and Thompson Hyland (Danbury War Memorial), according to the release. 

After the visit, Scribner took the artwork to Hartford to be put on display at the State Capitol during November, according to the release.
