The meeting will be at 2 p.m. in Room 202 of the Midtown Student Center.

The plan, which includes Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, comprising four state universities, 12 Community Colleges and Charter Oak State College, will assist the campuses in identifying and reducing risks from natural hazards, identify actions that can be taken to prevent loss of life and damage to property, and prioritize funding for mitigation efforts.

The Hazard Mitigation Plan will describe the vulnerability at each campus to various natural hazards, along with actions and projects that can be undertaken to reduce risks.

While natural disasters cannot be prevented, putting in place mitigation strategies identified in the plan will make ConnSCU campuses more sustainable and disaster-resilient.

Members of the planning committee will be available to answer questions and listen to community and stakeholder comments after a brief overview of the plan.
