Among the people who attended the ceremony were Max Levine, a junior and a Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., volunteer firefighter, and the Miry Brook Road Volunteer Fire Department.

“I hope that commemorating 9-11 gets you thinking about the power of ideas and the gift of living in a country where we are allowed to exchange those ideas.” Head of School, Matt Byrnes said. “Our greatest wish for all of you is that you become thoughtful, tolerant, compassionate people.”

Wooster singers, Amber March Bruce, Class of 2015, Shauna Vines, Class of 2015 and Anna Krzyzewski, Class of 16, performed the National Anthem. The Rev. Mettler then led the community in prayer, followed by a moment of silence.
