The Hatters have a new coach this season, and Nick Fraticelli has high hopes for this spring's team.

"The team was solid last year," said Fraticelli. "Right now, for us, it's all about day-to-day progress. I tell the girls that excellence is a process, and we're trying to establish that as a team right now. We have a lot of underclassmen, some very good freshmen and sophomores, and some outstanding leaders."

Danbury High is scheduled to open the 2015 season Thursday, April 9, hosting Greenwich High School.
